The Recording

Sound recording and acoustic recording

We offer you to record your project in optimal acoustic conditions. All our booths are treated so that the sound of your instruments is reproduced with fidelity. The bass-traps allow the attenuation and control of coloration and harmonics generated by low frequencies.
Polycylinders are diaphragm resonators that allow the absorption of unwanted low frequencies while keeping the clarity and brilliance of the original sound.
Absorbers and diffusers, as the name suggests, are placed on the ceiling or walls for homogeneous sound diffusion.
The guitar booth and the control room are provided with a concrete slab separated from the floor to prevent the propagation of unwanted vibrations coming from the loudspeakers. The guitar booth and the control room are provided with a concrete slab separated from the floor to prevent the propagation of unwanted vibrations coming from the loudspeakers. The guitar booth and the control room are provided with a concrete slab separated from the floor to prevent the propagation of unwanted vibrations coming from the loudspeakers.

» Our microphones

<After the treatment of the piece, the quality and the placement of the microphones is the critical point since it is the first step in the sound recording chain.
We have a complete range of microphones: dynamic, electrostatic, ribbon... which will allow the choice according to the timbre of your instrument and the style of music.

» The amps

We use a combination of analog and digital preamplifiers of different colors to preserve the neutrality of the plug or to add grain to the capture.

» The Converters

Ils permettent la transformation des signaux électrique en informations numériques (1 et 0).
C’est aussi un point critique de la chaîne d’enregistrement: Nous disposons de convertisseurs qualité mastering allant jusqu’à 192KHZ.

The comfort

All cabins are equipped with mechanically controlled air conditioning and ventilation.

Mixing

Mixing is a very complicated job which consists in mixing the different sources of your recordings or programming in order to obtain a homogeneous spectrum.

Level control, panning, dynamics control, delay reverb and other special effects are the ingredients of a good mix.
Thanks to our mixer and control surface, the level and pan automation settings are very flexible.

We have a choice of analog peripherals and digital processors to be able to treat the instruments as they deserve.
If we don't have an analog summation at the console output we prefer to pass the stereo signal to high-end analog peripherals.
We accept different types of formats whatever your workstation (click on the link to download the list of compatible formats) and sample rates up to 96KHZ.

However you can bounce (convert) your sessions track by track in .wav or aiff format.

Try to record your sessions in 24 bits, the result will be of better quality (see our mixing tips).

Mastering

Today, thanks to the existing technological means, the number of home-studios has considerably increased.

But producers and artists know that this kind of structure has its limits in terms of the outcome of a project.

This is where the pre-mastering stage is essential.

How it works :

Monitoring and optimizing levels to make your musical project homogeneous.
Creating cross fades while respecting the rhythm and structure of each piece.
Processing is carried out title by title to make the last corrections to the mix and give it an overall sound coherence.

It allows your CD to be duplicated in any manufacturing plant and to be read and heard on any distribution system thanks to red-book indexing standards.

<It also allows to write on the disk, all the text information related to the project as well as the pq and isrc codes.
We propose a selection of analog and digital material carefully chosen for your complete satisfaction: Lynx, Magix, Waves, Flux, Pendulum Audio, Alan Smart, Lavry ....

Finally, if you are in a hurry, too busy or far from Paris, you can send us your tracks via our secure server and receive your mastering within 48 hours.

Note that, this way, you will receive a disc image that you will only have to burn with a burning software to send it to the factory.

Accepted formats: up to 24bits 96khz (24bits is optimal) if you recorded in 16 bits don't reconvert the files !!! .wav .aiff Masterlink dat cd24 dvdr or cdr
At any resolution but 24bits is optimal.

You can also send us a track for a test, it's free!
